Community Homes
The McGuire Memorial community homes, situated throughout western Pennsylvania in Beaver and Lawrence Counties, offer the gift of independence and private residential living for individuals with mild to severe disabilities. Our residents enjoy total care within one-floor-living private home environments, all with accessible (ADA standard) doors, bathrooms, and entrances. All of our community homes have been constructed or renovated to meet our residents’ comfort, safety, and functional needs.
With a maximum of four individuals per home, the residents we serve are all able to enjoy being a part of their community in a familial setting. They are empowered to experience independence within a safe and supportive living environment where highly trained in-house direct support professionals attend to their personal care 24 hours a day. Nursing, Behavior Specialists, and management staff are also on-call around the clock, if their services should be needed.
Every community home has its own vehicle so that our staff members can transport each resident to the day program they participate in, such as the Life Enrichment Adult Program or the Employment Option Center. Our direct support staff also accompany our residents to a variety of enjoyable activities such as trips to the movies, local parks, favorite restaurants, or shopping at nearby stores. Just as in all of our programs, we weave spirituality into all that we do, ensuring that we are meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of all those that we serve. Inspired by our core values and mission grounded in creating a joy-filled community motivated by Christian values, direct support staff also make sure that every resident can attend the weekly worship of their choice.
