Dear Friends, Supporters, and Families of McGuire Memorial,
I am so proud to say that this is a big year for us – our 60th anniversary. There is no doubt that since our founding in 1963, there has been progression and innovation in the programs and services we provide, and even in the technology we utilize. These evolutions and enhancements have enabled us to continually improve our continuity of care. At the same time, I can say with confidence that the core of what we do has remained unchanged for the past 60 years and will always be foundational to our future.
We inspire hope. We weave spiritualty into everything that we do, knowing that God has a greater purpose for every human being. While the children and adults of McGuire Memorial may face great challenges, we work to overcome these barriers and help them realize their true capabilities, providing motivation and hope for their future.
We foster growth. We do not accept a one-size-fits-all approach. We design programs that meet each person’s needs and allow them to achieve their own potential. This not only provides self-esteem, but also creates a sense of pride and accomplishment, helping them to grow both in their faith and their personal abilities.
We provide compassionate, genuine care. We believe that every individual is a unique gift from God, and we care for each person as such. That means providing a nurturing environment, creating personal, meaningful relationships, and ensuring the highest level of dignity.
We have a lot to be proud of at McGuire Memorial. In a relatively short time, we have accomplished so very much. But we know there is always room for growth and improvement, and will continue to identify opportunities and implement change that will ultimately help those we care for live life to the fullest.
I am honored to work for such a wonderful ministry, and blessed to be surrounded by an incredibly devoted, compassionate, and caring staff. The Bible says, “Nothing is impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37) I have always believed in this with my whole heart – and I see it come to fruition every single day at McGuire Memorial.
Thank you for your ongoing love and support.
Sincerely,
Christopher M. Shay
